Nadine is currently a graduate student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison pursuing a PhD. Her dissertation involves higher level classification of the Oedemeridae. She received her M. S. degree from the University of Wisconsin in the fall of 2000. Her thesis was titled "The Scarabaeoidea of Wisconsin: Species Inventory, Taxonomic Keys, Natural Histories, and Distributions." This research should be published in 2001.

Although she is conducting research on oedemerids for her PhD, she maintains an interest in scarab taxonomy, particularly the North American fauna.
