Matthew Robert Moore is pursuing a Masters of Science in Biological Sciences at Wichita State University in Wichita, Kansas. He completed a B.S. in Insect Science at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2008. His research interests include the enzymology of polysaccharide metabolism in the western corn rootworm, Diabrotica virgifera virgifera, as well as systematics, phylogeography, and ecology of scarab beetles.
 
For his Masters thesis he is investigating the phenotypic variability of Cyclocephala sexpunctata using phylogeograpic techniques and GIS mapping under the tutelage of Dr. Mary Liz Jameson.
