David
Král’s research interests in entomology cover predominantly
taxonomy, ontogeny, biology, and zoogeography of both immature
and adult Scarabaeoidea groups. His current projects include
studying diversity of dung beetles in the transition zone between
the Palaearctic and Oriental regions and zoogeographical patterns
of Scarabaeoidea in the Balkan peninsula and Eastern Mediterranean,
preparing of catalogue of the Palaearctic Scarabaeoidea (part
of Volume III of the Catalogue of the Palaearctic Coleoptera
edited by Ivan Löbl & Aleš Smetana, and grid-mapping
of the Scarabaeoidea of the Czech Republic and Slovakia. He
is an assistant professor at Charles University in Prague.
