My PhD thesis is entitled “Aspects of the Biology and Ecology of the Stag Beetle (Lucanus cervus)”. My research interests include size variation in the stag beetle, behaviour, chemoecology, electron microscopy related to pheromone production  in the adult and larval stages, and population monitoring. I am particularly interested in why  stag  beetles choose their breeding sites and will also  be exploring population genetics
of the beetle.
