Conrad Gillett

Conrad Gillett in Ecuador,
September 2006.

Conrad Gillett has been collecting and studying scarabs since childhood, when he was brought up in Brazil and inherited his father's passion for nature and beetles in particular. Since then he has continued to collect extensively in Europe, Arabia, and the Neotropics. Currently his main interests lie in the rich Neotropical fauna, especially the taxonomy and ecology of the subfamily Scarabaeinae, although he is very easily persuaded to study cetoniines, dynastines and rutelines. Conrad is currently one of the curators of the Coleoptera collection at the Natural History Museum in London.
