The University of Nebraska State Museum's Hall of Nebraska Wildlife, a gallery of 16 dioramas depicting scenes from across the state, is currently being renovated. The re-design of the dioramas as touchable, interactive environments has allowed the exhibits staff to perfect their skills in nature reconstruction.
Wildcat Hills
The renovation of the Wildcat Hills diorama was finished in 1997. A realistic rock outcrop was fabricated around the original diorama. This new touchable foreground includes animal, plant, and skeletal materials.
